it used to mean something to be original....it used to say say about who us as hip hopper that we stood apart from any other genre of music cause we did our own thing.hmmm i wonder what happened? soon as the industry saw a lucrative commodity they took away the artistry and been really just trying to copy other hits an emulate acts personas to try and gain success.they try an recreate the magic that popular song have in order to make a buck...poor record company execs,the monster they created turned around to bite them in the ass.
